Lupitas - Paper Dolls - Sm

There are many stories of Mom's and Abuelitias in México remembering when they got their first Lupita paper doll. These dolls would be sold in town fairs as a substitue to the more expensive dolls. 
 
Our Lupita paper dolls have articulated arms and legs with a heavy gord. These Mexican paper dolls also known as "muñecas de carton" and are made of papier-mâché.  They are widely collected and are currently made only by a few artisan family workshops in the city of Celaya, GTO México.
